I wanted to know if my iMac could think. So I made it.
I build things nobody asked for and find out if they're useful. Right now I'm running AI models on a machine everyone said couldn't handle it. It handled it.
Featured Work
Gemma 4 Benchmark Suite
450+ tests across 7 models on two machines — iMac 2017 (Vulkan) and MacBook M4 Pro (Metal). GPU-accelerated to 90 tok/s. The model everyone said couldn't run? It scored 94%.
Dot Matrix Globe
~8,000 dots plotting the Earth in real-time. Orthographic projection, canvas rendering, drag-to-rotate at 60fps. It's the thing spinning behind you right now.
Globe → Map Transform
The Earth unfurls. Orthographic sphere morphs into equirectangular flat map — every pixel follows real projection math, not tweening.

Unsloth wins the three-way quant showdown
Q8 (4.69 GB): 7/8 at 30 tok/s. Google Q4_K_M (3.21 GB): 6/8 at 35 tok/s. Unsloth UD (2.94 GB): 7/8 at 38 tok/s. Smallest, fastest, best quality. Dynamic quant is the future.

M4 Pro: 90 tok/s and the 31B reality check
MacBook M4 Pro hits 90 tok/s on E2B, 53 tok/s on E4B. But the 31B? 1.32 tok/s — barely faster than the iMac. Memory-bandwidth bound no matter what silicon you throw at it.

37.6 tok/s on a GPU everyone said was dead
Compiled llama.cpp with Vulkan SDK, pointed it at the Radeon Pro 575, and the GPU appeared instantly. 5.1× faster than Ollama. Nobody told us to try MoltenVK.
Right now
Running 31B locally
Two machines running autonomous overnight benchmarks. 90 tok/s on M4 Pro, 38 tok/s on 2017 iMac via Vulkan. GPU acceleration on hardware everyone wrote off — and now building agentic workflows on top of it.
Leaving localhost
Building in public after years of building in private. This site is part of the experiment — can I ship as fast as I build? Can I stop yelling into an empty room?
Cartography creations
Interactive globe visualizations, projection morphing, and geographic experiments. The Earth is my favorite canvas. More coming — including something for Artemis II.
